I am associate professor of environmental philosophy in the Department of Philosophy and History at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH), Stockholm. My main research interests lie at the intersection of environmental philosophy, public policy analysis and environmental law. I have been involved in a number of research projects focusing on ethical and regulatory aspects of GM (genetically modified) crop introductions (“Mistra Biotech”, Mistra Foundation, 2012-2020), ethical aspects of biodiversity offsetting (“Ethics in Biodiversity Offsetting”, Swedish Environmental Protection Agency, 2018-2020), and delay mechanisms in environmental policy and regulation (“Mind the Gap”, Formas, 2015-2017). I am co-editing the “Vision Zero Handbook” – a comprehensive anthology covering the major topics in traffic safety research and related policy areas, which will be published by Springer in 2021.

I am Vice-Director of Third-Cycle Studies at the School of Architecture and the Built Environment (ABE) at KTH, and I also serve as faculty representative on the ABE School’s Recruitment Board on a regular basis. Since 2020, I am a member of the KTH Ethics Council.

I have been serving as member of the Swedish Ethical Review Authority in Stockholm since 2017. In 2020, I was appointed Scientific Secretary of one of the authorities departments.

I am a member of the CSSN: The Climate Social Science Network.

I live in Lindholmen, a country village north of Stockholm, together with my partner and our two children.
